Detroit Sportscar Classic
About The
Event
The Detroit Sportscar Classic places IMSA competition on a short and technical circuit through downtown Detroit. Measuring just 1.70 miles, the nine-turn layout surrounds competitors with concrete barriers and leaves little time to recover between corners. Heavy braking zones and an especially tight final section create opportunities for close racing while punishing even minor errors. The 100-minute format keeps the intensity high from the opening lap, with the city’s automotive heritage providing an appropriate setting for one of IMSA’s most compact street races.
