Event
The Mexico City Grand Prix takes place more than 2,000 meters above sea level, giving Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez conditions found nowhere else on the Formula 1 calendar. The thin air reduces aerodynamic performance and allows cars to reach exceptional speeds along the circuit’s main straight.
The lap culminates inside Foro Sol, where the course passes through a stadium filled with tens of thousands of spectators before returning to the start-finish straight. That setting creates one of Formula 1’s most energetic race atmospheres and a distinctive podium celebration above the stadium floor. In 2026, the event coincides with Día de los Muertos weekend, adding another layer of cultural significance and visual spectacle to the Grand Prix.
