Michelin GT Challenge at VIR
About The
Event
The Michelin GT Challenge gives IMSA’s GT classes exclusive use of Virginia International Raceway’s demanding full course. VIR combines fast direction changes, natural elevation and limited runoff across 18 corners. The uphill Esses require sustained commitment, while Oak Tree Turn and the long back straight create important opportunities to gain position. The GT-only format keeps the focus on closely matched production-based machinery and makes the two-hour and 40-minute contest a pure showcase of GT racing at one of America’s most challenging circuits.
